What happens when two entrepreneurial-minded bartenders get together? A dream starts to take shape. An idea takes root. A business is born.

This is the story of Rachel & Ryan—partners in life, in work, and behind the bar.

When we visit a bar, it’s not just about the drinks (okay, maybe a little). For us, it’s about the bartender—the person behind the bar who sets the tone, keeps things flowing, and makes guests feel at home. That’s what sparked the earliest conversations that eventually became our mobile bar business, R&R. We asked ourselves: What makes a bartender great? Is it personality? Service? Speed? Skill? Conversation?

The answer? All of the above.

But when we really broke it down, we realized that the qualities we value most—and that we strive to bring into every event we’re a part of—are personality and service. A great bartender doesn’t need to know your life story (or tell you theirs). But they do know how to make you feel like you belong, even if it’s just for the evening. That’s the magic. A warm welcome, a smile, and a little genuine attention go a long way. The best bartenders don’t just pour drinks—they create moments, community, and comfort. We knew we could bring that same feeling to private events, weddings, and parties. So we took our shared experience and started to build something together.

How R&R Was Born

We’d both spent time bartending in different settings—bars, concert venues, dives, restaurants—and realized we shared the same vision: we didn’t just love bartending, we loved hosting, connecting. We loved being part of people’s celebrations and there for the moments that matter most. When we looked around at the mobile bar industry, we saw an opportunity: to create a service that’s friendly, flexible, and built around real people. One that values approachability and great service just as much as it does the quality of the drinks.

So, we started R&R—our initials, yes, but also a nod to what we hope our clients and their guests feel when they hire us for an event:

Rest and Relaxation—knowing that their bar is in good hands.

A Business Built on Balance

Like any good team, we each bring something different to the table. Whether it’s building a website, planning logistics, crafting the perfect shopping list, chatting with guests, or managing the back-end details, we’ve learned how to lean into our strengths and trust each other in the process. There have been challenges (starting a business together always brings a few), but we’ve found that when we stay grounded in the why we started, it all feels worth it. Every event we work together makes us stronger—as bartenders, as business owners, and as a couple.

Our goal is simple: to bring good vibes, great service, and a thoughtful, reliable touch to every event we’re part of. Whether we’re setting up for a backyard BBQ, a formal wedding, or a birthday party on a rooftop, we show up as ourselves—professional, easygoing, and ready to take care of the bar so you can enjoy the party.
